Accessibility Statement and Plan for L’Arche London Website

Accessibility Statement

At L’Arche London, accessibility is a top priority. We are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. However, at this time, L’Arche London Website is not fully compliant with accessibility standards. We are actively working on improving this and are in the process of transitioning to a new website, which is being put in place by L’Arche Canada to ensure consistency across all L’Arche communities.

We anticipate the new website will be launched by the end of October 2024 and will be fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA. We appreciate your patience during this transition.

Measures to Support Accessibility

L’Arche London takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of L’Arche London Website:

  • Providing continual accessibility training for our staff

  • Assigning clear accessibility goals and responsibilities

  • Employing formal accessibility quality assurance methods

Conformance Status

The WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. These guidelines have three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Currently, L’Arche London Website is non-conformant with WCAG 2.0, Level AA, meaning it does not fully meet the accessibility standard. We are working hard to address these issues and ensure full compliance as soon as possible.
