Reinforcing: Reinforcing life skills learned in high school, last year at camp and TAYke Off! This program will offer a buffet of independent living skills – for those just beginning their independence journey and those still exploring what independence means to them. Each program will cover life skills such as internet safety, laundry, cooking, baking, communication, employment skills, financial literacy, and so much more! This program will be a balance of education and recreation. This program is meant for anyone interested in learning life skills. Ages 18 – 35. 

Teamwork: This recreational camp provides an environment for campers to enhance their teamwork skills through engaging games and activities. This camp is designed for people who are more interested in recreation, rather than the educational component of our other camp sessions. Ages 18 – 35.

Leadership: This camp is based on the very important life skill of leadership. It will have less of a focus on practical life skills but will focus on bigger concepts like; problem-solving, leadership, customer service, communication, initiative, goal-setting, and identity and so much more! Campers in this session already have a strong grasp on many life skills and are ready for the next step. This is a more advanced educational camp. Ages 18 – 35.

 

Location of Camp 

The location of the summer camp will be Covenant Christian School (7 Howard Ave). The school is right behind our main L’Arche building in Lambeth (4448 Col. Talbot Rd.)

Camp Hours

The camp day is from 9 am – 3:30 pm. Campers will have an option of extending their day until 5 pm if this makes pick-up easier. There will be an extra $10/day charge for this.

Registration opens on March 7^th @ 9am.

Payment can also be made by cash or cheque.

Independence Summer Camp is an exceptional program specifically tailored for young individuals who are transitioning from high school to adult life.
